Hot Beverages in a pinch

Hot Spiced Tea:

  1. 4 c water
  2. 3 tea bags
  3. 1/4 tsp. cinamon
  4. 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  5. 2-3 Tbs sugar
  6. 1/4 c orange juice
  7. 2 Tbls lemon juice
  8. 4 slices orange (garnish)

In a sauce pan, bring water to boil. Remove from heat. Next, add the bags of tea,  then cover and steep 3-5 minutes. Remove bags. Stir in sugar and spice until dissolved.  Add juices. Now, place back onto heat, simmer 1-2 additional minutes. Carefully pour hot liquid into cups. Garnish.

May be refridgerated for later use.

Hot Grape Punch

  1. 1 qut grape juice
  2. 2 Tbls sugar
  3. 5-6 Tbls lemon juice
  4. 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  5. 1 apple unpeeled, diced
  6. 4 lemon slices (garnish)

In a sauce pan, heat grape juice. Add sugar, simmer until dissolved. Stir in lemon juice and cloves, simmer 2 minutes longer. Add apple to the mixture. Garnish for  glasses with clemon slices. Carefully pour liquid into glasses. Serves 4
