Mi Piaci is an Italian restaurant that specializing in Northern Italy cuisine and the inside décor is wonderfully sophisticated with a windows overlooking a pond with a beautiful cascading waterfall and this was designed by Dallas’ best interior designers, and plus it was voted the best Italian restaurant by Zagat from 2006 to 2008 so it is definitely a restaurant that you want to try.
The restaurant is located at 14854 Montfort Drive and it the hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and call for times and a reservation on the weekend as it does tend to get busy fast.
They have a full menu with plenty of choices starting with their appetizers where you can order the crochette Aurora which are breaded risotto croquettes stuffed with sausage and cheese for $9 or the cozze al forno which are baked mussels sautéed with garlic, spinach and jalapenos in a white wine broth for $15.
Then for the main entrées you can start from the homemade pasta dishes like the pappardelle con pollo which come with rosemary marinated chicken, mushroom and spinach, or the ravioli with mushrooms which are stuffed with mushroom and come with a sauce made of tomatoes and asparagus for $18, or even the fettuccine al prosciutto for $17.
While for their risotto plates you should try the risotto al tartufo which comes with Parmesan cheese and shaved black truffles for $28, or the risotto with Porcini which comes with fresh Porcini mushrooms and asparagus for $25.
For their second course you can try the salmon Fiorentina which is black pepper crusted salmon with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes for $23, or the tonno all’inferno (which literally means hell’s tuna) which is seared Ahi tuna served rare on a bed of sun dried tomatoes risotto for $29 or even the cioppino di mare which is a seafood stew which includes shrimp, mussels, clams and sea bass with tomatoes, leeks, herbs and wine for $27.
But do not forget dessert which they have a good selection of, one of the customer’s favorite is the classic tiramisu, but there is also the torta fusa al ciocolato which is a melting chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream, or the torta al limone which is lemon tart with a pistachio crust and raspberry puree, or if you prefer fruit then go with the macedonia di frutta which are seasonal berries with a homemade zabaglione.
