Here’s what you’re going to need:
- 3 cups of yellow and white grated cheese(I use the mexican style blend)
- 1 cup cottage cheese(I use small curd, but either works)
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 4 Cups spaghetti sauce(choose your favorite, but honestly, I use WAY more than 4 cups but it depends on the size of the pan you’re cooking in)
- 1 box lasanga noodles
Preheat the oven to 350. You want to start off by cooking the lasagna noodles to your desire of tenderness, please remember they’ll cook a little more in the oven. Set the noodles aside while you’re mixing the “white stuff” as my daughter calls it or you can mix it while the noodles are cooking, whichever is more convienent for you. In a medium mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese with cottage cheese and ricotta cheese, blend well. Add grated cheese to it and mix again. Spray the bottom of your pan with pam or a butter spray to keep it from sticking and making a huge mess to clean up. To assemble the lasagna, start with spaghetti sauce on bottom of pan then a layer of noodles, cream mixture and repeat(sauce, noodles, cream mix). Bake for 45-60 minutes(reduce time for smaller pans; I usually use a 16×6 which is an odd size for a pan i know but we have an odd sized oven) and when you pull it out of the oven to cook, sprinkle some more grated cheese on the top of the lasagna(optional obviously, but we do it because we like cheese).
