How to prevent Bad breath

   Bad breath also known as halitosis is caused by active bacteria in the mouth, Either the teeth or gums. There are common causes for bad breath that effect millions of people everyday. these causes include but are not limited to poor oral hygiene(brushing teeth, flossing, rinsing)and this causes plaques to build up and even worse gum disease. There are other contributors to bad breath which include infections of the mouth or throat, nasal congestion, sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis and swollen adenoids to name a few. If someone suffers from acid reflux they have a good chance of having bad breath. In order to treat bad breath you must identify the cause first.

   A safe a healthy way to treat bad breath is by using herbs. Here is a few suggestions on which herbs you can use:  Try using Berberis. This bark either fresh or dried contains several active antimicrobial ingredients.  Berberis assist in digestion by stimulating the release of enzymes through the digestive tract. This allows for a more improved elimination of toxins. In 1 cup of water decot 2 g of the root, gargle and swish in your mouth for about 2 minutes and afterward swallow. Experiment with Chelidonium. This herb detoxify and repairs the liver letting the toxins eliminate properly as well as improving the digestion of food. In 1 cup of water you are going to dilute the herb and drink twice a day. Before you swallow it gargle and swish around your mouth for a couple of minutes. Prickly Ash is a common herb for this condition. This herb helps with dry mucous membranes. It stimulates areas to make you produce saliva. Your going to put 3 or 5 drops only on your tongue to stimulate it to make saliva.
