Each and every one of us has different skin types. Some of us have dry skin, while other have oily. Whatever type of skin we have, we all want to have natural, healthy and unblemished skin. Many of the blemishes we get have to do with our skin types. We are born with the type of skin we have. Oily skin is one of them and most of us wish that we had something else since this skin type brings about acne, whiteheads and blackheads. While we have oily skin, we do not have to let it rule us. There are several home remedies for oily skin.

The most effective treatment for oily skin is to clean it daily to remove impurities and excess oil. With the excess oil, the pores on your skin get clogged. Bacteria grows in the pores and causes pimple and acne.

Purchase facial scrubs that contain sea salt and kelp. These help remove the bacteria and makes your skin smooth at the same time.

Wash your face with hot water. Use Ivory soap instead of the one that are deodorizes or perfumed. This soap is a degreaser and gets rid of the oil easily.

Toxins in your body cause bacteria to grow on your skin. Drink eight cups of water a day to rid your body of these toxins.

If you are under a lot of stress and pressure, your skin will produce more oil. Practice relaxation techniques, such as meditation to relieve the stress.

Include green vegetables and citrus fruits in your diet. Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, they help rid the body of toxins and nourish your skin.

Witch hazel and rubbing alcohol makes an excellent skin clarifier. For this mix ¾ cups of witch hazels and ¼ of rubbing alcohol into a glass bottle. Damped a cotton ball with this mixture and clean your face.

Tomatoes and oatmeal will make an excellent face mask. You need one large tomato and four tablespoons of oatmeal. Grind the oatmeal in a blender until it is a fine powder. If you have a coffee grinder, you can use this. Put the oatmeal into a bowl. Blend the tomato until it is a puree mixture. Combine the tomato with the oatmeal. Apply to your face and wear for twenty minutes. Rinse off with hot water.

While the oatmeal mask is very effective for oily skin, it is also messy. If you would rather not have the mixture get in your hair, there is another mask you can make is with cucumbers. All you need is a cucumber, an egg white and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Blend the ingredients and refrigerated for a half hour. Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for twenty minutes. Rinse off with hot water.
