Watching American Idol has become a passtime for many Americans and their family. To see all of the hopeful contestants standing in long lines just to get that one chance to prove to the world that he/she can be the next American Idol. There are always your normal crazies who audition just to simply get their 15 minutes of fame and there are the ones who are there waiting for the perfect opportunity.
I normally laugh at all the silly people who go on there and are surprised that Simon Cowell just ripped one on them. But there was one person that I could not stop talking about. His name is General Larry Platt and he was the last person to audition during the Atlanta visit. At first I was like ok come one, really? But as he continued to sing his catchy song, I realized that I could not get that song out of my head! It goes a little something like this: ‘Pants on the ground, pants on the ground. Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground, gold in your mouth, hat turned to the side…..” It was so funny yet so catchy! And it sure helped that the 63 year old, General Larry Platt was as cute as a button. The song however rings true since so many teenagers today are walking around with their pants literally on the ground. I have a feeling that this guy is going to have a one hit wonder. I would definitely go out and buy that as a single or download on Itunes. You can watch his audition here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFx4-gyo1_0
