The Bush Presidency: A Failure?

George W. Bush, the current and 43rd President of the United States, in my opinion, cheated his way into office. In 2000, the race was close and had many controversial issues over who won the presidency: Al Gore or George Bush. First of all, Al Gore won the popular vote, which should be the only one that actually matters, the electoral votes are completely bogus because I thought America was run “by the people and for the people”, it should be the people’s vote because they matter most. Secondly, Bush’s brother, Jeb Bush, was the governor of Florida at the time and mysteriously, in that election, the voting machines were tampered with and were defaulting.  Who’s to blame?  Would Jeb Bush, be so low as to destroy other people’s voices?  I guess it runs in the family because 8 months later on 9/11/2001, terrorists attacked the United States of America.  Everyone was in such a shock that the people turned to the President, he could fix anything right?  After the attacks, Bush declared a war on terrorism and therefore a war in Iraq to save his people even though most people were against the war altogether.

And now, about 7 years later, here’s Bush saying that John McCain is the right man for the job.  Since early childhood, McCain has gotten whatever he wanted (check out the Rolling Stone article for more).  McCain is basically a McBush, destroying all in his path.  Now, Bush is trying to issue yet another war to frame the Palestinians before Obama gets elected into office.  At this point, most people that voted for Bush in 2000 have changed their mind and view about George Bush altogether.  You decide, was the Bush Presidency a complete failure?
