 Don’t let small incidents impact your life negatively. A nagging boss, getting stuck in traffic and rains on a day that you want to go outdoors can dampen your spirit but you must remember that these things are out of your circle of influence. It’s impossible for you to have any control over these circumstances and hence getting frustrated is not going to help you in any way.

 Organize your life and maintain control over things that you have control over. Plan a budget so that you are not stranded and broke before the end of the month. Plan your savings, organize your bills, file your taxes and clean your house. These are tiny things that will help to reduce your stress levels. Organizing your day, household chores, planning meals in advance will help to make your life less hectic.

Spend time with your lived ones. If they are too far to meet regularly call them. Spend some time with your friends. You need not have a lot of money to go out and spend time with your loved ones. A walk in the park is extremely refreshing and it does not cost a cent.

 Get rid of bad habits. Smoke and alcohol addiction do not help you in any way neither does gambling. If you indulge in any of these habits it is time you change. Look at spending time doing things that you like. Take up an art class or try out a new craft. You are never too old to learn something new. If you expand your talents you will expand your mind.

 Eat foods that you crave for. There is no harm if you bite into a chocolate cake occasionally. Don’t feel guilty about the food you eat. However you must keep in mind that maintaining a healthy and well balanced meal will help you to stay healthy and fit and prevent the stress of an illness at a later stage.

 Remember, happiness is a state of mind and in order to be happy you must perceive yourself being happy. You may have everything going for you however you may not still be happy. Learn to be happy with all that you have and be thankful for all your blessings.
