Mom Alone is a Mexican grill bordering on being almost a tacqueria, and it is located in a standalone shopping center and it holds a lot of people so there is never a long wait unless you go at noon on the dot especially on weekends, and the restaurant is located at 1199 Nasa Parkway in Webster which is south of Houston.
The hours of operations are from Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. so during the weekends is grea
t to go for breakfast and the earlier you go the fresher food you will have.
So to start with their breakfast you can try the Mexican omelet which includes pieces of beef or chicken fajita strip with onions, bell peppers and cheese all ranchero sauce, or the huevos revueltos which are two scrambled eggs with one that can have either chorizo, Mexican sausage, potato or bacon with it, or if you like something spicy then definitely go for the chilaquiles which are scrambled eggs with tortilla strips topped with cheese and a spicy sauce on top, and if you want to warm your stomach during the cold weather season then go for the menudo soup.
While for their lunches they do have a special menu during the week (Monday through Friday) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and you can order the spinach enchiladas which are two with Monterrey Jack cheese and spinach with guacamole and pico de gallo, or you can get the tamales lunch which also come with two both with gravy and American cheese and served with refried beans and rice.
However some of the most popular lunch dishes are the taco salad which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and chili con queso, and sour cream in a taco plate and you can also add beef, chicken or spinach and the fajita plate which can either be chicken or beef and served with freshly made tortillas, and they have great margarita prices for either lunch or dinner both on the rocks or frozen.
The service all together is average but make sure that you go with someone that speaks Spanish or you can practice the language or if you speak it even better but if all else fails you can just point at the menu to what you want.
