Digestion is a problem for many people. This is especially true if you’re older. When you’re older your metabolism will slow down and you will have problems with digestion. If you’re younger you will have less digestion problems. There are ways to help increase your digestion. One of them is to eat small, light meal that is more liquid base than solid. If you eat meals that are solid, it might takes awhile before they are digested. It can takes up to two days before your food is completely digested. The trouble with many people is that they don’t understand how food is digested or processed so they eat at the wrong time of the day and at the wrong amount. If you eat at the wrong time of the day, it will take longer for your body to digest the food. If you eat it in the morning, your body might get a chance to digest it right away. If you eat it during the night time, you will have a harder time digesting it.

Eat before six pm

If you want to have better digestion, you will have to eat before 6pm. If you eat before 6pm, your body will get a chance to burn up the food and you will not encounter digestion problem later on during the night time or the next day. If you eat after 6pm, you will go to bed with a full stomach and it will be harder for you to burn it after you go to sleep. You will wake up tired, and bloated. Its better that you eat during the day time so that your body will have a chance to digest it.

Eat light meal

If you have digestive problems, it’s best to eat light meal instead of heavy meal so that your body will have a chance to digest it better. It’s like a blender and if you stuff the blender full with hard food, it will have a hard time processing it. If you put in light food with liquid that is about a quarter down, it will process much better. It’s just the normal mechanical response of the body or the blender but notice that the blender has electrical powers and sharp teeth where your stomach doesn’t have that much power or sharp teeth so a lot of food would only make you end up with digestion problem.

Drink green tea

Drinking green tea can help push down your food. Green tea has been known to relieve indigestion. A hot cup of green tea daily will help you with indigestion. Green tea also speeds up metabolism and increases digestion. Green tea also helps you burn fat. It’s safe and it might give you some sleeping problems.

Walk around after you eat

After you eat, you can walk around to help food settle down. Food will settle down after you walk around for a little bit. You will get a chance to move things around when you walk. It’s not a good idea to go to bed right after you eat because the food will be in one place.
