What are the longest rivers in the world? I was wondering this when I started writing this article.

Here is a list of the top ten longest rivers in the world as well as some information about the rivers to look at!

The longest river in the world is the Nile in Africa at 6825 km long.

The second longest river in the world is the Amazon in South America at 6437 km long.  The Amazon is also the largest river in the world and also one of the most powerful!  Here is a video from Youtube of some people surfing on the Amazon.

The fifth to ninth longest rivers in the world are all from Asia which is a pretty weird fact!

The fifth longest is the Yenisey-Angara at 5536 km long.

The sixth longest is the Huang at 5464 km long.

The 7th is the Ob-Irtysh at 5410km long.

The eighth longest river in the world is the Amur at 4416 km.

The ninth longest is the Lena at 4400 km long.

And finally the tenth longest river in the world is the Congo river in Africa at 4370 km long.
