Last week was a rough one for my NFL playoff picks and predictions, but one thing’s for sure, I don’t know the meaning of the word quit, for better or worse.

My regular season picks were much better than my first round playoff predictions, so let’s hope the second round picks average things out a little bit.

We’re going to try and keep a positive frame of mind going into these NFL playoff picks and predictions for second round action, and also send some good vibes that all of the games are as exciting as the Arizona vs. Green Bay playoff matchup we all saw this weekend.

NFL Second Round Playoff Picks and Predictions

Who makes it to the NFL title games in each league? Read on…

San Diego vs. New York JetsNFL Second Round Playoff Pick

The Jets had a nice run for a team with a rookie QB, and Mark Sanchez will get better. But nothing suggests he’s ready for the speed and physicality of the Chargers’ defense in the second round of the 2010 NFL playoffs.

The pick: San Diego wins big

Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore RavensNFL Second Round Playoff Pick

The Colts might not be as good as their record indicates, but they’re still a Super Bowl threat because of Peyton Manning and his talented offensive cast.

The Ravens played well against a New England team that was battered and bruised but Indianapolis is a different animal.

The pick: Colts in a close one

Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Second Round Playoff Pick

The Vikings play well at home but the Cowboys are a tough test. This will be a physical game but I like the Vikings to get it done because of their defensive line getting after Tony Romo.

The pick: Vikings in a close one

New Orleans Saints vs. Arizona Cardinals NFL Second Round Playoff Pick

This is a tough game to call to say the least. It should be a shootout with the team holding the ball last getting the win here and heading to the NFC Title Game.

The advantage for the Saints is their pass defense which should at least make a few stops or big plays to give them the upper hand. They should be able to force the Cardinals to be one-dimensional in this one to win.
