Should the St. Louis Rams Pick Suh in 2010 Draft?

The St. Louis Rams have what many feel is an easy choice with the #1 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

But is it as cut-and-dry as many people think it is? Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska could be one of the best DT’s in the NFL draft in a long time but there are some other special talents in this draft as well.

The Rams need a home run with the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft but who will they take? Here is a prediction of the #1 pick in April for St. Louis.

St. Louis Rams 2010 Draft Prediction: Who’s the #1 Pick?

The St. Louis Rams might decide to draft Ndamukong Suh, and that would seem smart because the potential #1 draft pick can team with pass rusher Chris Long to make that department a major strength for the Rams.

Many NFL coaches have a draft philosophy of stacking the deck in one area for a bad team such as the Rams to give the team a true strength that opposing teams have to gameplan for.

If the prediction for the #1 pick of taking Suh for the Rams is true that would allow that possibility come to fruition as Suh is one of the best pass-rushing and all-around DT’s in the April NFL Draft we’ve seen in many years.

Drafting Suh is my prediction for the Rams with the #1 pick, but there are other guys worthy of the top pick as well.

Gerald McCoy is almost as good as Suh and perhaps worthy of a look. Eric Berry is so versatile and good all-around as a playmaker in the secondary that he can’t be overlooked for the #1 pick either.

And Russell Okung of Oklahoma State might be worth the top pick because good OT’s are the safest investments to make in the NFL Draft and Okung is the real deal.

In the end, however, expect the Rams to draft Suh with the number one overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft because Suh is a once-in-a-generation type talent you simply can’t pass up at the DT position.
