In Facebook’s Farmville, barns and sheds are more than just nice decorations for your farm. You can also use these buildings to store items that you don’t want to get rid of, but you don’t currently want to use as decorations. Now, with the help of your friends, you can expand the storage space offered by these buildings without spending any coins or Farm cash.
Before you can expand the storage space in a barn or shed, you first have to purchase one and place it on your farm. Then, go to that building, click on it, and choose the Expand Storage option, as shown in the screenshot below.
After this, a new window will open. Here, you can decide what method you want to use to obtain more storage. If you choose the Buy option, the building will upgrade immediately, but it will cost you Farm cash. However, choosing the Expand option doesn’t cost a thing – no coins or cash. With this option, your friends can help you expand your storage capacity for a building for free!
Selecting Expand will prompt you for permission to put a post on your News Feed that asks your friends to help you expand your barn or shed. So, all you have to do is wait for enough of your friends to click the link saying they will help, and your building’s storage space will have increased. As a bonus, your friends will get a few coins for helping you out.
Wondering how well your expansion project is progressing? At any time, you can return to your barn or shed, click on it, and select Expand Storage again. From here, you’ll be able to see how many friends need to help before your building’s storage expands as well as how many friends have already helped. You can also choose to Give Up from this window if you change your mind.
