We all know exercise is good for the body. There are both physical and mental benefits of regular exercise such as improved health. Exercise can be anything from walking, swimming or cycling. You should aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. Or you can exercise vigorously for 20 minutes, three times a week. Below is a list of five reasons why you should exercise regularly.

Helps you sleep better at night – If you do some sort of exercise during the day. You will find that you can fall asleep much easier and faster. The quality of your sleep will also be improved as you are able to sleep for much longer.

Improve mood – Exercise can make you feel happier if you feel depressed or unhappy. When you exercise you brain releases natural chemicals which make you feel good.

More energy – Your heart and lungs will benefit from exercise as they can work more efficiently and strengthen. You will have increase endurance which will make your body function better as you will have a lot more energy.

Lose weight – Regular exercise can help you loose weight and maintain a good diet. When you exercise your metabolism rate increases which make it easier for you to loose calories.

Maintain good health – People who exercise regular are less likely to get heart disease and certain types of cancers. The older you get the more you have to look after your body. Exercising will help improve your circulation and improve your health in general.
