2010 looks like it will be a good year for Horror Movies. There will be some remakes of some of the classic horror films, and some sequels to other Horror Movies. This is a list of some of the up and coming 2010 Horror Movies. The movies are in no particular order, I will be seeing them all.

1.Nightmare On Elm Street(2010):
Scheduled to be released on April 30, 2010.

Freddy Krueger is back, and I am ready. I have actually watched the trailer for the film, and it looks like it will be great. They are sticking to the original story line, unlike a lot of the remake that we have seen in the past. I have great expectations for the movie, but time will tell.

The cast of Nightmare On Elm Street(2010) will include; Kyle Gallner, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker , Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, and Connie Britton

2.Season of the Witch:
Scheduled to be released on March 19, 2010.

From what I can find about the movie it is based in the 14th century. It is about a crusader who returns home to a place devastated by the black plague. Two crusaders are to transport a witch to a place where monks can perform a ritual on a witch who is blamed on the devastation.

The movie trailer looks interesting, but the one reason I want to see it would be Nicholas Cage. He is usually a great actor in movies that he is involved in.

The Cast of Season of the Witch will include; Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, Claire Foy, Stephen Graham, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, and Christopher Lee.

3.Piranha 3-D:
Scheduled to be released on April 16, 2010.

This is another remake of an older horror movie. I actually enjoyed the original movie. Having the graphics ability that we do in 2010 may make this horror movie more interesting. It is about a tremor under the surface of Lake Victoria unleashes scores of prehistoric piranhas, an event which rallies the local sheriff who will risk everything to save her town.

The cast of Piranha 3-D will include; Eli Roth, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, and Elisabeth Shue.

4. Saw VII:
Scheduled to be released on October 22, 2010.

Detective Hoffman is the last man standing, Jigsaws work is now complete. That is until an old Detective returns to the case and finds Jigsaws accomplice. One last game is already in motion and will truly reveal the fate of John Kramer’s master plan.

The cast of Saw VII will include; Tobin Bell and Tanedra Howard

5. Legion (2010):
Scheduled to be released on January 22, 2010.

This is a movie about God losing his faith in humanity. A women is pregnant, and the archangel Michael has to save the baby. Apparently the baby is Christ in his second coming.

The cast for Legion will include; Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Doug Jones, and Kate Walsh.

6. Predators:
Scheduled to be released on July 9, 2010.

This is another movie in the Predator line. I have read that is another sequil, but I have also read that is a remake. Unsure at the moment. I have not found a lot of information on the movie, but I am ready to see it. I am sure that none of them will ever be as good as the first, but it is still Predator.

The films cast will include; Topher Grace, Adrien Brody, Walton Goggins, Laurence Fishburne, Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walt Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Louiz Ozawa, and Derek Mears.

7. Daybreakers:
Scheduled to be released on January 8, 2010.

The film is based in 2019. There was a plague that has turned most of the humans into vampires. A researcher is trying to discover a way to save mankind.

I love any vampire movie. This one looks like a good one. With Ethan Hawke as the star, I have to see it.

The cast of Daybreakers will include; Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, and Vince Colosimo

8. Shutter Island:
Scheduled to be released on February 19, 2010.

The movie is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island. Apparently he was wanting an assignment on the island for his own reasons.

There is one thing I have to say about this movie Leonardo DiCapri. The movie itself sounds great, but with him, it is a must see.

The cast of Shutter Island will include; Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson and Max Von Sydow

9. The Crazies:
Scheduled to be released on February 26, 2010.

This movie is about the people of a small Iowa town suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply. They are quarantined, and have a lot of problems.

I enjoyed the original, andTimothy Olyphant is always entertaining I see this movie as no different. It seems to be an interesting horror movie, with a lot of blood.

The cast of The Crazies will include; Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Joe Reegan, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, and Justin Welborn.

10. The Wolf Man:
Scheduled to be released February 12, 2010.

A man leaves America to return to his homeland. He is bitten, and turns into a wolf. This movie is another remake of a great movie.

The cast of The Wolf Man will include; Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Art Malik, Rob Dixon, Hugo Weaving, Nicholas Day, Michael Cronin, David Schofield, David Sterne, Roger Frost, Clive Russell, and Geraldine Chaplin

That was my top 10 Horror movies of 2010. 2010 is filled with remakes of great movies, and some of not o good movies. I do feel this will be a great year for Horror movies. There will be a lot of great stars involved in the majority of the Horror movies that will be released in 2010.
