Green Tea Does Have Side Effects

Green tea is a very popular hot drink.  Green tea can also be taken in the form of a supplement.  The way you ingest green tea is up to you and green tea side effects will be the same. Green tea also may offer some health benefits such as help with stomach problems, dental problems, as a stimulant and as an antioxidant to name a few.  Although, green tea does have many benefits it also has side effects.  This article will advise you on some of the possible side effects of green tea.  So, if you have been enjoying your green tea and have been feeling under the weather this could be a side effect of green tea.  I know it is hard to believe that drinking tea could possibly lead to side effects but indeed it is possible.

Green tea side effects can include an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction to green tea can include difficulty breathing, hives, and swelling of the lips, swelling of the tongue, swelling of the face and closing of the throat.  If you think you may be having an allergic reaction to green tea seek emergency treatment and stop use.  Another major side effect of drinking green tea after prolonged use would be possible esophageal cancer.  Most side effects are less severe and include, but are not limited to heartburn, headache, upset stomach, irregular heartbeats, and loss of appetite, sleeplessness, anxiety, irritability, nervousness, constipation and diarrhea.  If you are suffering from green tea side effects stop use and consult with your physician.
