Peter replied, “Lord, if it is really you, tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come on!”Jesus said. Peter then got out of the boat and started walking on the water toward him. (Mat 14:28-29 CEV)
There are some things only you can do. You can walk on water. When God tells you so, you can do the impossible. You are unsinkable. While all your colleagues and peers can do is watch, they witness you head towards Jesus, step on humanity, sink by the sight of its waves, be saved by the Savior, and walk again. You have nothing to lose! You have the confidence to ask God for something that’s never or rarely been done. You have what it takes to tread the path less traveled.
You leave others behind to get to where Jesus is, and then bring Him into your boat. You depart from the realm of mediocrity, even if you are all alone, and enter into a new dimension. You silence the crowd of unbelief, and listen attentively to Him that calls ‘Come!”
You rock the boat. You simply do what is right – obeying Jesus’ command. You’d rather go to where Jesus is, than stay in the boat of insignificance. You come out of the boat, and the tide turns against you. The waves and the wind go against you. However, when you return with Jesus to the boat, all becomes calm. The sea of rage, chaos and fear becomes still as glass when you bring Jesus into your ship of relations. The Water-walker and Way-maker will not pass you by and your group when you invite Him in.
You are firm and decided to be with the Lord, in life and in death. You are determined to do mighty deeds for God. Thus, you call on Him, and He responds. The more you call on Him, the more He bids you to come – the more you walk on water.
Come now, and confirm His calling…
