The”two-eyed steak” with cream

This fish is among my favorite because it is tasty. “Two-eyed steak”often means herring which has been known as a good food since ancient times. Even people who have lived 3000 BC knew very well the healthy ingredients of the fish.The importance of health ebnefits of the herring is well known these days. The fish is rich in vitamin D,too. But I am not going to make a presentation of the fish,I am going to tell you my recipe for preparing the tasty meal with herring.The recipe is easy for preparation.It serves  2 people. Preparation time:at least 1 hour for staying in milk.It could be longer depending on your time. Then about 30 minutes for preparation.

Ingredients:

4 herring fillets

1 cup of milk about 250 gr

1 glass of white wine

2 tablespoon wine vinegar

2 onions

garlic powder

1 teaspoon mustard

1 teaspoon mayonnaise

2 yolks

3 table spoons cream

1 tea spoon red pepper

salt to taste

Black pepper powder

Method of preparation:

The fish should stay in milk for at least an hour. It is better to stay for two hours.Dry the fish from the milk. The wine ,the onion which is cut into slices,the garlic powder,the black powder and the salt have to be mixed and cooked into a sauce pan.When this mixture is boiling put the fish,pour some water to cover the ingredients. Cook it for 5-6 minutes. Put the fish into a large plate and start preparing the sauce. The mixture form the sauce pan has to be mixed with the yolks be constant stiriing. Then add the cream,the red pepper,the mustard and the mayonnaise. Pour the sauce onto the herrings. Serve cool with suitable salad. It could be potatoes or green salad.
