KNOW THE HISTORY

Before St. Valentine arrived on the scene, people in the Roman Empire, at the time, got their lovers through a lottery during the Festival of Lupercalia. How about that? St. Valentine was killed because he stood for the right of a person to pick his or her spouse without a lottery system and to get married without the intervention of the state.

HOW ARE YOU HANDLING YOUR LOVE LIFE?

Is your love life a neglected, cobweb-infested room in your heart or is it a vibrant bazaar of emotions? St. Valentine stood for the ability of lovers to cherish the gift they shared, in a manner that made it sacred.

WILL YOU DO WHAT VALENTINE DID IN DEFENCE OF LOVE?

The saint was beheaded by Emperor Claudius II of Rome on February 14, 269 AD for his position on love. How passionate are you about your own relationship? Will you lay down your life for the one you love?

ARE YOU IN LOVE?

People have struggled with this question because of misconceptions about what love is. Love is an exclusive feeling that you have for one person, regardless of circumstances. Love has focus. It has goals. It has objectives. It breathes. However, it dies when it is not attended to.

TREASURE THE SPECIAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE

You are lucky to be in love, so protect it with your life. See, there is no meaning to everything else in life if love is non-existent. Be grateful for your loved one and do not take him/her for granted.
