Cottage cheese,leek and walnuts salad

The preparation of this delicious salad takes only ten minutes.This is the first advantage of the salad but there is anothe rone. And it is that the salad is very cheap and serves 4 to 5 people. I have learned it in a cottage in a small village but the taste is unique and wonderful. Try it at once and you will probably make it again. I offered it last week during the New Year`s party and there was no one who could stand asking for more. On the next morning two of my friends phoned me to dictate them the ingredients and the method of the salad preparation. They even told me that they would use this salad as an appetizer. Why not? Everything is possible.


500 gr cottage cheese

150 gr olives

100 gr walnuts

5 tablespoons olive oil

1 leaf of green salad

3 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons mustard

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

some parsley

salt to taste (if necessary)

Method of preparation:

Place the cottage cheese into a bowl and mix it by constant stirring with the olive oil. Cut the leek into a very,very small pieces and add it to the mixture. Stir again.Clean the olives and make them into halves. Add the olives to the mixture.Then mix the mustard,the lemon juice and the mayonnaise. Pour this sauce onto the mixture. In a flat plate put the leaf of green salad. Shape balls from the salad mixture and put them into the leaf.Sprinkle some parsley onto the salad balls. Decorate with halves of walnuts around the balls.
