Worldliness is not Godliness!

A Christian cannot love the world,its societies and laws of men. Worldliness is having evil thoughts or doing evil deeds or to satisfy the worldly desires or passions or walking against Gods laws. We should dedicate ourselves to God instead of worldly pleasures. Worldly sorrow brings death. God punishes the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins.

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. John 1:10

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world’s light. John 11:9

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:19

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.” John 18:36

There is danger not only that our trade will lose its good name, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be discredited, and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty.” Acts 19:27

These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. Jude 1:19

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 1 Corinthians 3:3

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:10

It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 1 Timothy 6:7

if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others. 2 Peter 2:5

I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless. Isaiah 13:11

The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one. Matthew 13:38

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 1 John 5:19

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16

Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 1 John 3:13

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

But every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 1 John 4:3

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. John 7:7

Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. John 3:19

There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. Proverbs 30:12.

And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded.But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; 1 Corinthians 3:19

But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:33

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 2 Corinthians 10:3
But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:22

So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. Galatians 4:3

In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. Ephesians 2:2

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
