Wassail Recipe To Heat up your Christmas!

Wassail is a hot and spiced drink that’s mostly served on Christmas.It gained popularity in Germany.It’s also an awesome drink to serve at holidays.It does the dual function of filling up your house with its spicy and mesmerizing aroma  and also provides a delicious hot drink for your family and friends! . . .



  • 2 litres ginger ale
  • 25 fluid ounces sherry
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 whole allspice berries
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 8 lady apples


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place whole apples on a baking sheet and bake until brown and tender, about 25 minutes.
  2. Gently crush the allspice berries and break up the cinnamon stick. Place the allspice, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger in a cheesecloth bag.
  3. In a large sauce pan place 2 cups of the ginger ale and the spice bag. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove spice bag and add the remaining ginger ale, the sherry and the brandy heat until hot. DO NOT BOIL! Whisk in milk and pour into a punch bowl garnish with the baked apples.

An easier alternative if you can’t do all that baking and crushing!Ingredients:
1 gallon apple cider
1 can frozen orange juice
6 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon allspice,whole
1/2 teaspoon cloves,whole
1/4 cup brown sugar
Add cider and orange juices to a pot and tie up the spices in a cheesecloth and drop it into the juices! Simmer for an hour and make sure it does not stick to the bottom or you don’t burn it!  Add brown sugar.
Serve hot with orange slices on top!
