Bake Santa’s Whiskers Christmas Cookies

Need a fun Christmas cookie treat for your school class party or Christmas party at home? Here is a Christmas cookie recipe for Santa’s Whiskers. You guessed it, the whiskers are really coconut flakes. They also call for candied red and green cherries. Check out my recipes in Bukisa to make candied red and green cherries cheaper at home too! Yum! These would be a fun treat to leave out for Santa to eat too! What You’ll Need:

  • 1 C (2 sticks) of softened butter

  • 1 C sugar

  • 2 T. milk

  • 1 t. Pure Vanilla Extract

  • 2 1/2 C flour

  • 3/4 C red and green candied cherries

  • 1/2 C chopped pecans

  • 3/4 C flaked sweetened coconut

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 C (2 sticks) of softened butter and 1 C sugar. Add 2 T. milk, 1 t. Pure Vanilla Extract, 2 1/2 C flour, 3/4 C red and green candied cherries, and 1/2 C chopped pecans. Mix well.

Step 2

Roll dough into a log shape and roll in 3/4 C flaked sweetened coconut until it is well covered.

Step 3

Slice 1/2 inch thick and place 2 inches apart. Bake on greased cookie sheets for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Have fun and Happy Baking!
