Things You’ll Need:
- Two pounds fresh green beans
- One 6 oz can French Fried Onions
- Two Sweet Onion
- 1 1/2 bags shredded cheddar cheese
- Three cans Campbell’s mushroom soup
- Three cans chicken broth or 3 chicken bouillion cubes.
- Salt, pepper, onion salt
- Large sauce pan
- Shallow baking dish 9 1/2×13 is best
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Wash and cut green beans french-style and cut them in half.
Put 3 boiullon cubes plus 3 cups water in sauce pan and bring to boil.
Add 3 cups of green beans to water at a time. Allow to boil for ten minutes.
*I scoop them out into a bowl with a draining spoon (or a ladel with holes) so I can reuse the chicken broth for the remaining green beans. Make sure to add one boiullon cube and one cup of water each time you drain your beans. Water evaporates under extreme heat and the content of the taste will be dimished.
After beans are done, add to baking dish.
Add 3 cans Campbell’s mushroom soup and onion to beans and mix well.
Put in salt, pepper, and onion salt to taste.
Mix in half a can of French’s Fried Onions to mixture and distribute evenly.
And the remaining Fried Onions around the rim of the baking dish.
Put mixture into oven for 20 minutes.
Remove mixture and add shredded cheddar cheese to the top of the dish.
Put back into oven for another ten minutes until cheese is melted.
Allow ten minutes to cool and enjoy!
