The field of graphic design does require a particular creative talent, however, some sort of degree or certificate is needed to land a graphic design job. This degree or certificate provides a fundamental source of knowledge and skills equipped with adequate training and related-learning experience which is often required for applying in certain graphic design jobs.

These graphic design programs could come in short-term or long term. Short-term programs offers graphic design related certificates but are more likely accepted for entry-level positions. These programs are often taken for 1 to 2 years. On the other hand, Long-term programs like Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts are often taken for as long as 3 to 4 years. These programs offers a more in-depth learning and could provide a better chance of getting accepted into higher-end jobs.
