You can reduce your fat and calorie intake with these methods of cooking. Cooking by this method will not only keep you healthy but will taste great too.

Baking

You can use your oven for a lot more than just making cakes and bread. Cook your chicken, seafood, vegetables in this manner and the best part is that it doesn’t require you to add fat to the food

Roasting

It is similar to baking. In this method, the heat of an oven is used to cook the food. For chicken, seafood and meat, place a rack inside so that the fat can drip away while cooking.

Stir-fry

This is a traditional Asian method. It quickly cooks small pieces of food on a high flame. It requires only a small amount of oil and keeps all the flavours of the food intact.

Sautéing

It is done usually using a non stick pan and doesn’t require much oil. Use low sodium broth or water instead of oil.

Steaming

This is one of the simplest and healthiest cooking technique. It is easy to make steamed rice and it taste good too. If you feel the food is turning bland, then add some seasoning to the water.

Grilling

Here the food is cooked in direct heat. It is healthy as it allows the excess fat to drip away from the food and requires less cooking time than cooking on a stove or an oven. Its good for meat as it doesn’t reduces the natural flavour of the food.
