Song-lyric about events near and dear to many.

In the morning, day is dawning and the dew is on the grass;

I remember one September, when the planes were flying fast;

Nothing could prepare us for the horror that would be;

Little did we know that this would shake our Liberty!

In the evening, day is leaving and the stars above return;

I remember that September, as we watched those buildings burn;

Nothing could prepare us for the road that lie ahead;

Little did we think we’d be at War so soon, instead!

Can we learn how to love?

Love is the answer;

First and final answer to all!

~Interlude~

In the morning, day is dawning and the snow is on the grass;

I remember one December, when a promise came to pass;

Nothing could prepare us for the depth of Love we’d see;

Little did we know a little Child would set us free!

In the evening, day is leaving and the sunset fills the sky;

I remember that December, when a Savior came to die;

Nothing could prepare us for the mercy from above;

Little did we think we could be given such great Love!

Love conquers all!

Love is the answer

Love is the answer…..to all!

Love is the answer

First and final answer

Love is the answer…..to all!

Of course, this song-lyric is about events of September 11th, 2001.  It seems our first reaction was to run after those who could do such a thing, wherever they were.  We wanted them badly; we wanted revenge; we wanted them to pay for such atrocious actions.  And perhaps rightly so; but I think some of the emotional energies became mis-directed, and we ended up in a war in Iraq; likely having more to do with oil and power in the middle-east than about the terrorist actions.  We’re still searching for the top terrorists; are they really THAT slippery that they can evade all the high-tech surveillance techniques and technology available today?  Hmmmm…you be the judge.
