Immediately take off your clothes and throw them in the wash; Make sure you use extra detergent. Take a shower and use extra soap and shampoo. Make sure you take at least 10 minutes to make sure you clean thoroughly.
Step 1 doesn’t completely get rid of the smell so you are going to have to use more than just soap. I recommend vinegar or baking soda. If you’re lucky enough to have it there is a spray called skunk off which is specifically designed to get rid of the odor. They are sold almost everywhere and are only a few dollars so you might want to get some just in case you get sprayed. You probably don’t so you might want to try Febreeze or any other scented sprays.
For outdoor structures such as porches and sheds use a mixture of 90% water and 10% detergent. This mixture is extremely effective and is harmless to almost anything you spray it on. Make sure that you spay all over if you miss any the smell will linger.
If the other steps don’t work you can always try bathing in tomato juice. You should try everything else first because using tomato juice can get pretty expensive. I don’t recommend you use it on your clothes because they will be stained if you do.
If you try all of these and the smell still won’t go away you should call a professional cleaner.
