I’ve dropped 90 pounds without surgery…you can too!

Every morning you wake up and say, “Today is the day!”

Every late afternoon you say, “Well, I’ll start tomorrow.”

I know, I’ve been there.  I was in college, working full time and trying to have a social life.  Time was not my friend, so everything I could put in my mouth was.  I didn’t have time to make lunches or go to the health food store; so fast food, quick eateries and high calorie foods were my world.

When I graduated college, I was at my highest.  312 pounds on a 5’7 frame was just plain unhealthy.

Luckily in college, I took a Kinesciology class.  This taught me all about the body as a machine.  Once I graduated and had a little more time, I sat down with the book and began to learn about this amazing creature I had taken for granted all those years.

It seemed, if I was reading correctly, that the body needed food to run, the way a car needs gas.  Therefore, one has to eat, but should not overfill the tank or it runs badly, just like a car.

The more I read, the more I began to see the big picture of the body.

The answer was simple.  Eat within an hour of waking up, and eat every 2-3 hours all day.

That seemed a little too easy, but I figured I would give it a shot.  I read further and saw that there are two foods so excellent for the body that they should be eaten every day.  What are they?  Apples and bananas!  Who knew!

So this was my plan:

Within an hour: Breakfast (I had 8 oz of chocolate milk because I’m a chocoholic)

2-3 hours later: Snack (apple or banana)

2-3 hours later: Lunch (Lean cuisine or chicken with rice or something else under 500 calories)

2-3 hours later: Snack (apple or banana)

2-3 hours later: Dinner (Something healthy…chicken, fish or lean meat; a little starch, like a small potato or some rice; a veggie, like a salad with lemon as the dressing or greenbeans or peas (try not to eat anti-veggies like corn).

2-3 hours later: Late Snack.  YES, I said a late snack.  I ate one EVERY night…Usually 4 oz of chocolate milk and two sugar free pecan cookies.  Anything less than 200 calories is fine.

That’s it.  Sounds too easy, right?  When you get going, you will have to set a reminder to eat because you are NOT hungry at those intervals.  EAT ANYWAY.  The reason this works is BECAUSE you aren’t hungry.  You never feel that pang so you never overinduldge or crave sugar.  It’s unbelievable how great you feel.

After 60 pounds, my body finally plateaued.  A friend suggested maybe exercising would help.  I began to walk every day for a half hour and dropped another 20 pounds in a month!

The next 10 came off over the next month and that made 90 pounds!  I have kept it off now for over two years and am going to begin this regime again so that I can drop the rest.  I wanted to reset my body’s weight so that it didn’t see 312 as it’s number anymore.  Having stayed around 230 for over 2 years now, I am ready to do it again!!

You can too!!!  Start TODAY.  There is no tomorrow.
