The city of Ottawa is in the midst of a 2 week transit (bus and train strike) that has crippled it’s once thriving economy. All these good people doing their part to reduce their carbon footprint and use public transit have been abandoned as the Union and City argue over the details of their collective agreement.
So what can be done for these citizens who need to get to work, cannot afford a fossil fueled automobile and want to do their part to save the environment ? Well I heard about this little car called the ZENN – the Zero Emission, No Noise fully-featured electric vehicle. So I did some digging. I found that I could buy it for about $15,000. It is available in many States and the Province of Quebec in Canada.
Problem is it only travels about 25 m/hr (40 km/hr). This means that the City would need to lower the allowed speed limits to 25 m/hr within city limits. Could we do this ? Could we live with slowing down this much. I sure hope so – we’d probably save a lot of lives as well. What’s the big hurry anyway. Give ZENN a chance and we can save the world. I’m writing a letter to my mayor to allow the ZENN into my city.
The ZENN can be recharged anywhere by simply plugging into a standard electrical outlet and can be ready to go in as little as 4 hours. At only pennies per mile to operate and with minimal maintenance requirements, the ZENN is the ideal choice for consumers and businesses alike. ZennCars.com
