Their study of six popular south Indian varieties of ripe and unripe bananas showed that banana controls the action of Ace, the enzyme which is responsible for forming the substance Angiotensin-2, which constricts blood vessels resulting in high blood pressure. They also found that people who ate two bananas a day for just one week recorded an amazing ten percent fall in blood pressure.
