Cream Cheese Cookie Recipe

Do you like cream cheese? do you like cookies? Well there is a way you can have your cream cheese and cookies too, oh yes, and eat them as well. This is a favorite recipe which can show you how to prepare these tasty treats. They can be used as entrees or as appetizers before a main meal. Whenever you have those chocolate craving moments that I am assured we all go through, this recipe can suffice in satisfying the biggest need. It is easily prepared from the simplest ingredients.

Difficulty: Moderate

You’ll Need:

                       1/4 cup of margarine

                       1/2 t/sp vanilla

                       1 pkg cream cheese

                       egg yolk

                       1 pkg yellow cake mix


Cream the butter and the cream cheese in a bowl, or cake mixing bowl.


Blend in the egg yolk and vanilla into the butter and cream cheese mix.


Add the yellow cake mix 1/3rd at a time and blend in. Mix well after each addition. An electric mixer would be ideal here or a whisk would suffice.


Cover and chill for 30 minutes in the fridge.


Drop by level teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, or a baking tray


Place the tray in the center of the oven and bake at 375 degrees Farenheit for 10 – 12 minutes.  If your stove has metric, 375 degrees is 190 degrees Celcius or Centigrade.

Tips & Warnings

                        Use caution with the oven.

                        I am sure you can experiment with different types of cake mix.

                        Try them with chocolate melted onto them
