Wanna Lose Weight? Know What to Eat and When to Eat It!

One of the things that drives me the most nuts are all of these infomercials that claim they will help you lose all of your body fat and lose weight in 12 weeks by using some stupid gadget made out of plastic.

The fact is those gadgets won’t help you anymore or any less when it comes to losing weight than doing pushups and crunches in front of your TV set. The only way you can truly lose weight is to eat right and drink plenty of water. When you combine that with exercise that is when you accelerate the process.

So exactly what is eating right? For starters eating right means eating the right foods and eating them more often. Your metabolism is the rate at which your body burns fat. The higher your metabolism the more fat you are burning. By eating the right foods more often your metabolism is constantly running therefore burning that fat and because it is the “right” foods, the nutrients from those foods are being used by your body for their vitamins, minerals and health benefits.

For starters you need to eat 6 times a day. You should eat a meal about one every two and a half to three hours. Along with eating your meal you should also drink eight to ten ounces of water minimum. I try to drink twelve with every meal. Water is the ultimate resource for your body. It quenches your thirst, keeps you hydrated, makes your kidney’s function properly and so much more. Drink plenty of water with your meals.

Each of your 6 meals should consist of equal portions of protein, carbohydrates, and green vegetables. A portion size should be the same size as your clenched fist. This way there is no need to use a scale and weigh everything.

Your protein sources should be lean meats, egg whites or substitutes, fish and you can throw in some good whey protein supplements. Your carbohydrate sources should be whole grains, brown rice, yams, and fruits. Your green vegetables should be broccoli, asparagus, spinach, salads, and so on.

Once you have mastered eating properly by eating 6 meals a day with the foods I just mentioned, drinking plenty of water you will turn your body into a fat burning machine.
