Kathmandu the capital of Nepal offers a ride in hot air balloons for a slient glide in the cloud into the sun-lit sky for riders to see the Kathmandu valley and entire Himalayan range from another perspective.Paragliding is another such activity offered in Pokhara.These activities usually last upto thirty minutes to an hour.Paragliding canbe extended into par-trek across the Pokhara country. A one-hour mountain flight that takes passengers within camera range of some of the highest peaks in the world is one of the most conveninent ways to see the mountains from nearby. The peaks seen are Gosaithan,Dorje Lhakpa,Phurbi Chyachu ,Pumori,Nuptse and finally Mt Everest.

Nepal is one of the best destinations for white water rafting.Cruising down rushing rivers of crashing waves and swirling rapids can make up excitement of a lifetime.Another option is to cut through these wild waters kayaking alone downstream.The best time for these activities is from October through Mid-December and March to early May.The water range from rivers with raging white water rapids from the adventurous to those with few rapids for novices.Rafters also have a choice ranging from 2 to 3 week trips to trips of 2-3 days.

The ultimate thrill of bungy jumping is offered in Nepal over the wild waters of River Bhote Koshi.The site is located close to the Nepal-Tibet border and is a three-hour bus ride from Kathmandu.Jumps can be booked from Kathmandu.Canyoning to explore the rugged and out of reach landscapes is another option at the site.

Mountaineering is one of the major attractions of Nepal.Its ice peaks have challenged daring mountaineers for several decades.Currently there are more than 326 peaks opened for mountaineering including Mt Everest.

Trekking in Nepal is a big part of the ultimate Himalayan adventure and majority of tourists have trekking as part of their itinerary.Nepal offers excellent trekking options to visitors from the easy walking excursions to the strenuous climb of the snowy peaks.One can also trek on ponies in some remote places which is equally enthralling for visitors.

There are 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in Nepal that spread across the length and breadth of  the country.These parks teem with wildlife and offer a chance to experience the endemic animals and vegetation of the different regions.
