Second Chance for Old Nail Polish

Things You’ll Need:

* Old Nail Polish

* Bottle of Acetone (available at most Beauty Supply Stores)

Directions:

  1. Measure Acetone using Metal utensils or you can always guesstimate.

    • 1/2 bottle of Polish = 1/4 teaspoon Acetone

    • 1/4 bottle of Polish = 1/8 teaspoon Acetone

  2. Add Acetone to bottle of Nail Polish. If Polish is really thick you may need a little more Acetone. Avoid using too much Acetone or your polish will become too thin.

  3. Shake Well and set aside for 15 minutes or so. If Polish is really thick you may need to set aside for an additional 15 minutes.

  4. Shake well before using and apply as usual. Polish should be as smooth and good as new!

Tips & Warnings

  • Try adding a few drops to new Fingernail Polish to keep it smooth and thin.

  • Lay down a stack of old newspaper before mixing in case of a spill.

  • Avoid using too much Acetone or your polish will become too thin.

  • Always follow all warnings and instructions on Acetone Label.

  • Acetone will strip wood, paint and various other finishes, use caution when mixing and avoid spillage.

  • Acetone is flammable, use caution when mixing and avoid spillage.
