Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal Studios Florida is perhaps the next best thing to ever happen to the park after Terminator 2: 3D Battle Across Time. Based off of the blockbuster Steven Spielberg film Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park River Adventure is a water theme park ride situated within Universal’s Islands of Adventure section at the Universal Orlando Resort.
For the duration of the ride, you are seated within a sixteen passenger-carrying raft and secured by a strong lap bar. Suddenly, just as you pass a lagoon, a dinosaur known as Parasaurolophus pops out of the river and accidentally knocks the raft onto the wrong course – the wrong course being… the Raptor Containment Area. Alarms sound as freed Velociraptors run amuck, trees and plants shake violently, then a crate full of raptors nearly falls on your head. Your raft enters a water pumping station where more escaped Velociraptors are on the loose along with a bunch of Dilophosauruses, all ripping the place apart and threatening to attack the raft…
