Here is a snack variety that can be made with sprouts and fruits. Sprouts are excellent sources of proteins, vitamins and minerals. Add fruits like apple, orange and pomegranate to get additional benefits. Finally add some lemon juice for additional flavour and vitamin C.

Sprouts and Puffed rice snacks

Ingredients

*½ cup sprouts

*½ cup chopped tomato

*½ cup chopped apple

*½ cup orange segments

*¼ cup pomegranate seeds

*¼ cup chopped raw mango

*¼ cup chopped coriander

*4 teaspoons lemon juice

*Salt to taste

*2 cups puffed rice

*½ teaspoon cumin seeds

*½ teaspoon oil

*¼ teaspoon black salt

*¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

*A pinch of asafoetida

Method

– Heat the oil and add the cumin seeds.

– When they crackle, add puffed rice, turmeric powder and asafoetida.

– Mix well.

– Add the black salt.

– Now take sprouts in a vessel.

– Add all fruits, tomato and mangoes and mix well.

– Now add coriander and puffed rice mixture.

– Add salt and lemon juice and serve.

– Delicious and healthy snack variety ready!

Spinach and Cheese Pie

Ingredients

*1 cup cottage cheese

*1 cup spinach

*1 cup mixed nuts

*Salt, nutmeg and pepper to taste

Method

– Blanch the spinach and chop finely.

– Grate the cottage cheese and mix with spinach.

– Coarsely crush mixed nuts and mix it with spinach mixture.

– Season it with salt, nutmeg and pepper.

– Place it in the middle of a square of spring roll pastry.

– Form into a bundle and tie with spring onion leaves.

– Fry deeply and serve.

Broccoli and Potato Tapas

Preparation time: 3 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

*1 cup raw potato

*1 teaspoon bread flour

*½ cup broccoli

*½ cup sweet corn

*1 teaspoon mayonnaise

*1 green chilly chopped

*Salt to taste

*Pepper to taste

*Coriander leaves few chopped

Method

– Grate the potato.

– Mix green chilly, salt, pepper, coriander leaves and bread flour.

– Shape the mixture into small patties and fry.

– Blanch broccoli separated into small florets, sweet corn and mix with mayonnaise.

– Season it with salt and pepper.

– Place little bit of broccoli, sweet corn mixture on the top of each and serve.
