Things You’ll Need:
- 1 package of bow tie pasta
- 1 lb package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 package of shredded carrots
- 1 package of frozen peas
- 2 cups buttermilk ranch dressing
- Garlic salt
Boil bow tie pasta as indicated on the package directions. Drain, rinse in cool water, and set aside. In the meantime, while cooking pasta, cube chicken into small square pieces. Fry chicken in 2 tbsp olive oil in a large frying pan. Add a few dashes of garlic salt for flavor. Cook until golden brown on all sides.
Cook package of peas as indicated on the package. If you purchase Birds Eye Steamed vegetables in peas, you can cook these easily in the microwave, right in the package for about 5-6 minutes. Rinse peas in cool water and add to pasta in a large mixing bowl.
Add cubed chicken and shredded carrots to bow tie pasta and peas in large mixing bowl. Stir ingredients until well blended. Add 2 cups of buttermilk ranch dressing to the mix and stir until all pasta, chicken, peas, and carrots are evenly coated.
Place in the refrigerator for about an hour until chilled. Stir again to mix any settled dressing. Add more ranch dressing to taste, depending on how much you like and how moist you want the chicken bow tie salad. Dish out and enjoy. Makes about 6-8 servings and is a quick and easy meal for the whole family.
