Wondering Lyrics

You said I didn’t appreciate you,
Well that’s where you’re wrong in assuming that
There was a day that went by
Where you weren’t on my mind
Running through my head.

And I know I don’t exactly
Let it show
All the things that I feel inside
But how am I meant to tell you something
That words are unable to describe?

I lay here now,
My cries and sobs frequently
Distracting me
From the overwhelming
Sea of regrets,
That circles my head
And leaves me wondering how

How all this came to be,
I know the futures not ours to see,
But surely there reasoning,
For if not all, then most
Of the events that effect our lives
That can leave us bruised and broken
When the final word has been spoken,
And as the whole world shakes,
There’s once again a time
When you feel yourself left wondering.

And the fact that I miss you so,
Only clouds my vision
With indecision,
Should I call your or not?
Even if it’s just to hear your voice.

You say I didn’t do enough.
Is that all you see?
What about all the times that
I put you before me?
Was it all for naught?
All those times that I found myself caught
With a choice,
That would ultimately effect one of us,
Or even you and me both,
And I put you above,
Some may call it a favour,
But I might call it love.

How did this all this come to be?
I know the futures not ours to see,
But surely there reasoning,
For if not all, then most
Of the events that effect our lives
That can leave us bruised and broken
When the final word has been spoken,
And as the whole world shakes,
There’s once again a time
When you feel yourself left wondering.
