Pollo alla cacciatore is an easy recipe that goes well with side-dishes like: baked potatoes, or sauted green beans or sauted asparagus, a piece of bread et’ voila’, enjoy!
Things You’ll Need:

  • Prep. time 15 min.
  • Cooking time 40 min.
  • Serves 4 people
  • 3 pounds of chicken pieces: legs, drums, wings
  • 1/8 of a cup olive oil
  • one large onion
  • one carrot
  • celery, one long stem
  • one glass of white wine
  • 1 pound of tomatoes
  • basil, about 10 leaves
  • salt and pepper

Step 1

Mince the onion, carrot, and celery. Dice the tomatoes and set them aside for a few minutes.
In a large frying pan pour the olive oil and let get it hot.

Step 2

Now sauté’ the onion, carrot, and celery until golden brown. When finished, lay down the pieces of chicken and let them brown also carefully for few minutes.

Step 3

After that, pour the glass of wine over the chicken and before the wine evaporates completely add the tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper.

Step 4

Cook for about 30 minutes, keeping the stove on medium and using a tablespoon every 5 minutes to get the chicken wet with the juice
