Coca Cola Chicken

1 cup coca cola (diet or regular – may use any cola product)

1/2 cup bar-b-q sauce (your favorite)

4 pieces chicken (your favorite pieces – dark or white)

* To increase the sauce just make sure to use twice the cola as you do bar-b-q sauce (2 to 1)

Stove Top Version

This assumes the chicken to be thawed and in the refrigerator (Perhaps moved from the freezer to the refrigerator on your way out the door to work)

Place chicken in skillet. Mix cola with bar-b-q sauce in measuring cup. Pour mixture over chicken. Cover skillet and place temperature on medium and allow to cook for 20 minutes. Remove lid, turn chicken and cook for 10-15 minutes uncovered. No need to season chicken.

There is no need to season the chicken when placing it in the pan. The cola and sauce will do all of that for you.

Oven Version

Oops! Forgot to thaw the chicken? That’s OK. Place frozen chicken in baking dish. Mix cola and sauce in measuring cup and pour over chicken. Place foil or lid on dish and place in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes. No need to turn chicken just remove cover for the last 15 minutes of cooking time. Again, no need to season the chicken as the cola temderizes and the bar-b-q sauce is already seasoned.

Now you have plenty of time to change clothes, pour yourself a beverage and prepare a salad or veggies. If you bake the chicken you even have time to put in a load of laundry and help with homework.
