The first step is to melt the chocolate chips. Any kind is fine! Use different flavors to make the recipe more interesting! Using a double boiler would work the best, however if you do not have one, using a medium sized saucepan will work too. If you are using a saucepan, fill it about 3/4 full of water and place a smaller saucepan inside of it so that the chocolate does not burn. Place the chocolate chips inside of the smallest pan. Turn the stove on low to medium heat and stir occasionally.
- Step 2
Step two is to prepare the strawberries. Rinse each berry and dry well or else the chocolate will not stick. Leave each stem on so that they will be easy to dip.
- Step 3
When there are only a few un-melted chocolate chips left, turn the stove off. Do not let the chocolate burn!
- Step 4
Next, place wax on the top of a cookie sheet so that it covers nearly the entire thing.
- Step 5
Finally, take a strawberry and dip it into the melted chocolate. Make sure that the berry is completely covered. Next, place it on the wax paper to cool. Repeat until each strawberry is coated with chocolate.
- Step 6
If you add extra’s to the strawberry such as sprinkles, candy or shredded coconut, place them on the berry while the chocolate is still relatively wet so that it will stick.
- Step 7
Let strawberries dry and enjoy
