It’s time for us to discuss the 2009 Texas Longhorns Football Schedule. Is this the year that Mack Brown leads his guys back to the National Championship for a potential matchup against the defending Florida Gators? With Colt McCoy coming back many people are expecting UT to make a run at not only winning the Big 12 but coming out on top with another BCS title.

September 5th Louisiana-Monroe

September 12th at Wyoming

September 19th Texas Tech

September 26th UTEP

October 10th Colorado

October 17th Oklahoma

October 24th at Missouri

October 31st at Oklahoma State

November 7th Central Florida

November 14th at Baylor

November 21st Kansas

November 26th at Texas A&M

In another article we talked about the Oklahoma Sooners and how they had a real difficult year ahead. Well the 2009 Texas Longhorns football schedule isn’t quite as tough and that could be the difference and what gives them the edge when that Red River shootout comes into play. But honestly looking at the games on that list above the Sooners and maybe OSU are the only ones standing in the way of UT earning another Big 12 title and possible a BCS title.

But I’m sure everyone knows that in the NCAA anything can happen and there are some possible trap games on the 2009 Texas Longhorns football schedule. For starters the game against Missouri has potential to sneak up on the Longhorns because it’s in between what is probably gonna be the two toughest games on that list. Of course Kansas and A&M at the end of the 2009 Texas Longhorns football schedule also have some potential to be upsets but if they have gone that far and are still in position to run the table then they will be focused and ready to play.
