Here today we will discuss the 2009 Tennessee Vols football schedule. Our discussion will talk about which games are more than likely to be wins and the ones that are probably gonna end up as losses at the end of the year. So let’s jump right into the year ahead and take a look at the official 2009 Tennessee Vols football schedule.

September 5th Western Kentucky

September 12th UCLA

September 19th at Florida

September 26th Ohio

October 3rd Auburn

October 10th Georgia

October 24th at Alabama

October 31st South Carolina

November 7th Memphis

November 14th at Ole Miss

November 21st Vanderbilt

November 28th at Kentucky

After taking a quick glance at the 2009 Tennessee Vols football schedule the matchups can seemingly be broken down into three different categories. There look to be games that are almost guaranteed wins and others that are almost guaranteed losses. Then of course you have the games that will end up being very close and could go either way.

Here are the games that I think the Volunteers will lose based on current projections and the performances from last season. For starters the game against Florida almost has to be chalked up as a loss considering that UT not only has a horrible track record against the Gators but that team is returning almost all the players from a National Championship squad. UT fans won’t want to hear this but most people also assume that Alabama and Ole Miss will end up as losses on the 2009 Tennessee Vols football schedule.

The good news for the volunteers is that Western Kentucky, Ohio, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Kentucky should be considered wins barring a big upset. But the Tennessee games against UCLA, Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina are gonna be too close to call until we see how those teams look during the first few weeks of the 2009 football schedule.
