Did you know that October is National Pizza Month? Did you know that Americans eat 100 acres of pizza daily? That’s 350 slices per second! Over 5 billion pizzas are sold every year worldwide. The largest pizza ever made in the U.S. was 10,000 square feet and weighed over 44,000 lbs. It used over 9,000 lbs of cheese and 2,000 lbs of pepperoni. The largest pizza ever made in the world was in South Africa. It was over 122 feet in diameter.

Things You’ll Need:

  • English muffins
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Pepperoni, optional

Break your English muffins in half. They usually come pre-sliced. Lay your desired amount on a flat pan such as a pizza pan or cookie sheet.

Top each muffin half with a spoonful of pizza sauce. You can buy pre-made pizza sauce in cans, use spaghetti sauce, or make your own.

Top the sauce with your desired amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Top cheese with a pepperoni or two. Pepperoni is optional. Many kids just love the cheese pizza!

Bake in a 350 oven, 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted.

This is a great finger food for a kid’s party. It’s also easy enough that the children can pitch in with minimal mess.
