Make Money on Google Adsense

There are two distinct ways that you can make money with Google Adsense.  The first was mentioned before, adding Adsense code to your website.  The second isn’t as well known.  You can write articles for well respected websites and they will pay you a portion of their ad revenue.  Some of these websites pay you from their own pockets and others set up your payment through Adsense.  Some sample article sites would be Ehow and Xomba.  Bukisa is a good article submission site but does not pay you through Adsense.  I would recommend that you diversify your Google Adsense account by participating in both online writing and website creation.  Never put all your eggs in one basket.

Why does it take so long to make money on Google Adsense?  This has to do with how the Google search engine works.  You will not receive a high listing for a new site or blog that you set up immediately.  This takes time, a lot of time.  SEO can help here.  By using the right approach to search engine optimization, you can cut down on some of the waiting period for Google to rank you higher in their search engines.  A new page submitted to an established website could still take 3 months to receive a decent listing in Google, even if it is very relevant.

There are also things that you can do to ensure that your Adsense ads perform better when viewed.  This would be keyword optimization.  If someone is on a website dedicated to cars, they probably won’t click on an advertisement for quilting.  If your ads are not matching the content of your website, you will need to take a look at some of the text on the site to make sure that it is all relevant.  You should focus on only a several keywords.

Focusing on keywords for ad relevancy is on ly the beginning of good keyword usage.  You will want to use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to decide which keywords you want to focus on.  This will show you how many times that a particular keyword is searched for during an average month.  You will want to focus on the keyword with the highest views and the lowest competition.  You can also see how much people are bidding on those keywords.  This is what you will be receiving when someone clicks on your ad.

Overall, it will take a lot of work to make your website, blog, or online articles productive.  It can get frustrating when you put a month’s worth of effort in and only make ten dollars.  But if you stick with it, you will be able to earn a lot of residual income.  I have learned that it is easier to start with some of the writing sites due to the fact that they are already established, therefore if you are terrible at SEO you can still make decent money.
