  1. Step 1

First you need to make sure that your stereo has an audio in put usually it will say something like AUX around two little white and yellow wholes in the stereo they may be on hte back where the speakers hook up at or it could be on the front as well.

  2. Step 2

Once you know you have that, you need to make sure one of two things. 1 you either bought a long enough cord to reach where the stereo and computer are or 2 you have a laptop and it really don’t matter how long of a cord you bought. Just encase you bought a cord that was too short you can either take it back and get a longer one. If not it is time to rearrange some furniture.

  3. Step 3

Ok this step is easy. Plug the single end of the Y cable into the output of the computer usually where the head phones or speakers would be plugged into. Then plug the other end which should have one red plug and one white plug into the stereo. Obviously into the appropriate space they are color coded.

  4. Step 4

    There you have it. Now pick a song and start rocking out! Or what every you call it. But have fun. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
