Easy Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes Cook time: 4 to 10 hours

I love doing this recipe when my wife is busy with the baby and my son wants to help cook because it is so easy you just prep the chicken throw it all together and its ready for you to forget. I can take my son to the park to play ball or go swimming and when we are ready for dinner there isn’t much left to do.

Things you need:

4 to 6 Thawed Boneless skinless chicken breast Halves

1 Bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

1/2 cup of warm water

Slow Cooker

Directions:

Thawed Chicken Breasts:

Step 1: Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray.

Step 2: trim all the fat off of the chicken breasts.

Step 3: Place all chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Step 4: Pour the BBQ sauce into the slow cooker ensuring that you cover the chicken breasts.

Step 5: Pour the water into the BBQ sauce bottle and shake it up then pour the water mixture into the slow cooker.

Step 6: Stir the chicken to ensure that it is coated in sauce.

Step 7: Cook the chicken on Low for about 7 to 8 hours or High for about 4 to 5 hours.

Frozen Chicken Breasts:

Step 1: Spray the Slow Cooker with non-stick spray.

Step 2: Place all chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Step 3: Pour the BBQ sauce into the slow cooker ensuring that you cover the chicken breasts.

Step 4: Pour the water into the BBQ sauce bottle and shake it up then pour the water mixture into the slow cooker.

Step 5: Stir the chicken to ensure that it is coated in sauce.

Step 6: Cook the chicken on Low for about 10 hours or High for about 6 hours.

Goes great with my simple honey butter carrots and my easy mashed garlic and chive salt potatoes.
