I really think that the Xbox 360 is the best console on the market and I love Xbox Live. However one problem I have with it is that the wireless controller eats batteries at an alarming rate!
This is why I bought the excellent Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit. To start charging all you have to do is plug the charger into the USB on the Xbox 360 and put the battery pack where the batteries normally go. When it has started charging a red light flashes on and when the controller has finished charging which takes around an hour to an hour and a half you will have a full battery. However the difference between this and most kits is that you can play while your controllers are charging which is brilliant if you are a keen gamer and I normally only turn on my Xbox when I want to play games so it would never charge with a different kit!
Once it has finished charging a green light will flash on which tells you that the controller is fully charged and ready to go. Apparently you can plug the charger into any USB port and as long as it is connected to the controller it will charge.
The wire is long enough to move around a room easily and not be pulling your console around the room and also store easily. The wire is very strong and the battery pack has survived a few minor drops and scratches and general wear and tear.
One bad thing about this kit is that it effectively turns your controller into a wired controller temporarily but I can live with that for an hour or two at a time!
I have a white battery pack but you can get different coloured ones to match your controller like blue, black and even pink!
If you find yourself playing a lot on the Xbox 360 this will be an essential accessory and it will save you a small fortune in the long run and a lot of hassle. The Play and Charge kit was £9.99 in Game when bought with something else in store so I also bought an extra unofficial battery pack which works perfectly with the charger and I have had no problems with this so far. I would recommend this product to everyone who has an Xbox 360 with a wireless controller.
